Additional Resources – Silver Investing For Beginners

At this point, you’ve learned all the basics you need to start investing in silver.

I’ve given you the exact steps to use to get started.  Essentially, these are the same steps I have come to use over the years.  I say “essentially,” because my path was not so simple and direct.  And that’s because I didn’t have a book like this years ago when I got started.

But you now have the same basic system I would use to get started today.

With that said, we covered a lot of resources in the book.  So this section lists them all for you as a handy reference.  And there are some additional handy resources listed for you  as well.

NOTE that print book readers  can access this chapter and the live links at www,LiveLearnAndProsper.com/si.

OWNx – Buy Physical Silver Online With Optional Automatic Purchase / Storage

http://www.OWNx.com/

OWNx.com is a precious metals custodial dealer based in Lawrence, Kansas in the US.  They are my favorite online dealer because of their automatic purchase program.  Another feature of OWNx that I like is that you can store your precious metals in OWNx’s vault – hence the term “custodial dealer.”   And their premium and storage fees are quite reasonable, so that’s what I do.  I let them worry about keeping my silver safe.  Or you can take delivery once you’ve accumulated at least 20 ounces of silver or 1 ounce of gold.

JM Bullion – Buy Physical Silver Online Delivered To Your Door

http://www.jmbullion.com/

JM Bullion, a precious metals products retailer, provides a convenient, straight forward way to buy your silver online.  Established in 2011, they are located in Dallas, Texas in the US.   They deal exclusively in physical bullion, selling silver (and gold, platinum,, etc.) that is delivered directly to your door.

Book Safes

Amazon has a nice assortment of book safes you can view here at https://www.amazon.com/s?k=book+safes&ref=nb_sb_noss_1.  Or if you’re reading a paper copy of this book, just go to www.amazon.com and search for “book safes.”  If you want to save some money, search for “book safes under $10.”  All said, I don’t think you have to get real expensive with these.

Silver ETF Channel

https://www.etf.com/channels/silver-etfs

Lists 13 silver Exchange Traded Funds (ETF’s), with ratings and holdings.

The Silver Institute

http://www.silverinstitute.org

A great resource for those interested in all kinds of statistics on supply and demand at the Silver Institute Site.  They also have a free publication called the Silver News.  Just look under their News and Events section to review and sign up.

List Of Countries By Silver Production

Silver Stock Dividend History

http://www.dividendchannel.com/

Shows the history of dividend payments that have been made for a stock, including silver stocks, funds and ETF’s.  The history can go back ten years and more.  Like most sites, just enter the stock symbol at the top and click search.  This is an excellent site and I use it frequently.

US Debt Clock

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

You can see how fast the US debt is rising in real time, second by second, by looking at this site.  The numbers in the amount fields just fly by as you watch it.  It’s truly alarming.  For example, in the minute I took to write this small factoid, the national debt went up $2,300,000 dollars.  All of this debt will be covered by printing paper or electronic dollars.  It makes you want to go out and buy silver coins, i.e. real money.

Free Stock Information and Charts

https://finance.yahoo.com/

Very useful to research a specific silver stock, or any stock in general.  Just enter the stock symbol at the top of the screen and click the Search Finance button.  You will find a wealth of information, including the dividend amount and yield.  The site also has good charts of the historical stock prices.  You can also get to this site by going to www.Yahoo.com and then clicking the Finance tab.

Tracking Your Stop Losses

https://tradestops.com/

Very useful if you have many different stock positions and want to use sophisticated stop loss tracking.  I subscribe to it, but it is a paid for subscription service.  And it’s not necessary for beginners with just a few stock positions.  You can use your discount brokers free alert system instead.

Discount Broker Web Sites

For those interested in trading silver related stocks and funds, you will need to have a stock market account with a broker.  If you don’t have an account, here’s a list of discount brokers you could set one up with.

1.       TDAmeritrade – www.tdameritrade.com

2.       E*Trade – www.etrade.com

3.       Fidelity Investments – www.fidelity.com

4.       Charles Schwab – www.schwab.com

I’ve used TDAmeritrade for years.

BOOK: When The ATM’s Go Dark by Jaclyn Frakes (Author) and Bonner & Partners (Author)

An interesting book on how to survive the end of America’s 30 Year Credit Boom.  This is not really a prepper or end of world book.  Rather, it goes into how fragile our credit based economy is, what a credit collapse might look like, and surviving in the age of dying credit.  Hint: Owning some precious metals like silver and gold are part of this plan.

BOOK: The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve by G. Edward Griffin

A fascinating book on the Federal Reserve, and their grand illusion called money.  For example… where does money come from, where does it go, who makes it, the cause of wars, boom-bust cycles, inflation, depression and prosperity.

This is not a light read (600 pages) but very interesting and relevant to the need for silver investing.  It changed my world view of banking and money a couple of decades ago, and could change your world view too.

VIDEO – Why Should You Have Exposure to Silver Now?

Interesting fireside chat video between Jeff Clark of GoldSilver and Keith Neumeyer, CEO of First Majestic Silver (AG) filmed at the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference.  Among other things they talked about the potential for $100 an ounce silver, as well as how some silver stocks can jump $3 a share for each $1 a share jump in silver.  For silver enthusiasts, I’ll bet you’ll get pretty fired up as you watch and listen to CEO Keith’s comments.  You can see the video here https://goldsilver.com/blog/why-should-you-have-exposure-to-silver-now-keith-neumeyer-jeff-clark/.
